Le Moustier is a tiny village in the Vézère Valley in the Dordogne, one of the most beautiful areas of France and famous for its lovely villages, castles and sites of great antiquity; the famous cave paintings at Lascaux being, perhaps, the best known.

Gîte le Sol is a large, old farmhouse, typical of the region, which has been converted into two comfortable semi-detached gîtes, one of which is available for holiday lets. The house stands back from the road which runs between the pretty town of Montignac (15 km away) and the village of Les Eyzies (12 km).

The village of Le Moustier has a boulangerie / épicerie and a traditional French auberge, both of which are open throughout the year.
